You know what, Kelly? SO PROUD OF YOU. Things like this are always extremely hard decisions to make, and what you have done -- budget, timing, etc -- are all so smart. But it also frees Chris up to sub in a REGULAR school district. This means he'd be able to throw his hat in the ring to get a full-time job somewhere where he'd WANT to work and where he'd get a meaningful salary.
He could do that while he's doing the rest and it would keep his resume current, so he wouldn't wind up with an MA and no chance of a job becuase he's not known locally. That's what happened to me when I moved here. NO school district would touch me with my MA and no local experience.

I do love seeing you in This Shit Is Gonna Change mode. It's sort of like how you described my hidden mean streak-- completely unexpected when it rears up and strikes. In your case, however, it's more awe-inspiring. GO, TEAM KELLY!
