Hahaha! It's Ananas! My mom was a French teacher and had actually made a lifesize (pineapple size?) Ananas puppet. It was her prize possession. Sometimes I think she liked it more than her own children...

Whoa! That's all kinds of awesome! My french teacher in elementary school had a Dimoitou (I have no idea if I'm spelling that right, but do you remember that green octopus kind of guy?) puppet, but not an Ananas!! That's so wicked.

No, I think it's an 80s children thing. We used to watch this French show, Téléfrançais, in class in elementary school. It was awesome.

No, I went to school in Ontario. We still had to learn French.

I did go to school in Quebec for a little while, but that was in high school.

"Telefrancais has been a huge joke at Laurier in the past few months- especially in Winter Carnival (which was 3 weeks ago) , some groups did a Telfrancais lip synch and everything...

Really?? That's awesome! Every once in a while here someone will bust out a "Téeeeeléfrançais, Téléfrançais. Téléfrançais!" and everyone in the immediate vicinity goes nuts. It's just so great.
