Heeeeeeeroes

So, due to the writers' strike (I understand, they deserve more money, but faaaaaaaaaaack what am I going to do stranded in Korea with no English tv to watch?? Huh, Writer's Guild of America? WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO????), the last episode of Volume II of Heroes aired yesterday. I just finished watching it now, and OMG.

I'm a bit sad that there was no reunion for M3. I am very happy, however, that HOMG MY DARLING LITTLE FAMILY SURVIVED. I was SO STRESSED OUT that Peter or Adam was going to kill Matt and/or Sylar or Maja was going to kill Mohinder or Molly and I just COULD NOT have handled that. Something I could have handled? Maja staying dead. Maybe she won't be so annoying now that ALEJANDROOOOOOOO! is dead and her beloved "Gabriel" has been exposed as the sexy crazy serial murderer he is.

In the end, however, while I'm incredibly relieved that I didn't lose any of my favourite characters (M3, Hiro, Peter, HRG, and yes, Sylar), the fact that the characters who died were people I didn't really care about made their deaths (and ultimately the suspense of who was going to die) fall hugely flat. They've been setting Nikki up to die ever since they introduced Monica as a competent new guardian for Micah, and Nathan, well...his role has basically been to counter Peter. And how he has. So...what else is there for him? Still, I was a little bit shocked by his death, as one tends to be when someone is shot multiple times in the chest mid-sentence. Poor Peter, though...And I feel a little bad for all the Petrellicest-ers. They're going to be so sad. RIP, canon Petrellicest. At least you got that last hug, which is more than I can say for what my ship ever gets.

Oh shoot, the Heroes vs. the Company in the next Volume is going to be Hard. Core. Now, as long as Mohinder stays on the right side, we'll be fine. And the right side is whatever side Matt is on.

You know what? I just had a horrible, horrible premonition that they've kept Maja alive and had her bond with Molly there because they're going to introduce her as a love interest for Mohinder. I WILL GO ON A MURDEROUS RAMPAGE IF THIS IS TRUE. I swear to God, Kring. I'm coming for you, first.

O hai Sylar, u getted ur powrz bak. AWESOME. Hot damn, Sylar, you're sexy. I guess it's convenient that the writers' strike happened now, at least for Heroes, since Sylar's going to be off playing in space for a while. I'm glad they didn't try to kill him just so they wouldn't have to work around his Star Trek schedule. *whew* He's just too sexy to die. Kiiiind of like a certain cop and a certain geneticist who may or may not answer to the name Matthinder.

Speaking of Matthinder, the only thing needed now is what happens when Matt gets home. IMO, nothing says "OMG WE ALL JUST ABOUT DIED THANK GOD WE DIDNT" like hot, sweaty mansex. DELETED SCENE, PLEASE. *Colbert-esque grabby hand*

All in all, an okay volume, but it could have been better. Try harder next time, Kring. *shakes fist menacingly*
