Thought I'd make the announcement that I won't be at Wizard World Philly this year. I am also NOT exhibiting at Wizard World Chicago this year. I know, crazy isn't it? I've been exhibiting for almost ten years there, but not this year. I probably won't be at Reed's convention in Chicago next spring either ( Read more... )

yeah I won't be at Wizard World Chicago either, they upped their 4ft table fees to 200.00, I thought I'd just save my money for GenCon that next week. It'll be nice to have that week to get ready instead of recovering from a show.

It feels real good to have you back in GB. I hope it ends up being a positive thing for you. The not going to Chicago thing sucks, I only went that one year but it was a lot of fun. Still, I understand why it isn't worth going to any more. I mean if DC and Marvel arn't going to show, then why should we right? =]

Well, for this year, it's just that I'm completely unprepared. I might have two originals in my possession, but they're in storage somewhere. If I don't have a number of originals, it doesn't pay for me to go.

It's $300 for a table, and then like $100-something a night for the hotel... plus travel costs... plus food... plus parking... I mean, it adds up, but it's not terrible as long as I have something to sell.

I'll miss you this year. I really enjoyed meeting you and talking with you the past couple of years. I was looking forward to seeing your booth this year but I totally understand why you're not going.

What's the story with Chicago anyway? Seems like for the last 5 years that show has been going downhill...
