I know me too! Or I just get people that have twitter and have it sent to lj. And I dont even bother reading that. Its like reading terets or something. I remember when I would come on after a couple days off and I wouldnt be able to catch up on reading it all. And when people used to comment on entries. Now I only know they read it if I talk to them and they mention something I wrote. I think that ever since facebook came about people just update on there so often that they have nothing to write about in their lj. Thats just my guess! Im not going to stop using lj. Ive been using it for almost ten yrs now!
Yeah, I don't update like I used to, but I still do...Actually, I've been using LJ as an actual journal lately....hello private post option! Lots of those lately.
But I still log in and read whats going on almost every day.
I am experiencing the same thing with my friends list. I still read LJ every day, but it's almost entirely posts from communities or RSS feeds of other sites. I haven't posted on LJ in ages and it's probably been well over a year since I posted with any regularity. It makes me sad, in a way. LJ used to be such a big social outlet for me. Now it's just a news feed.
I spend most of my internet social time on FB, as well. But sometimes I miss the more long-form world of LJ posts. I just can't get back into though. I feel like the ship has sailed. Sad face.
