Of late, I've been on a romance binge. I finally finished the Pink Carnation series, The Lure of the Moonflower. I put off reading the last novel for two reasons - one, I thought things had sort of gotten a bit silly in Miss Gwen's novel, almost as if the author's heart were no longer in it, and two, I nevertheless didn't want the series to end. It's been so fun being part of the (silent, lurking) crew on SmartB's - I've gotten all sorts of amazing recommendations, including Courtney Milan. I love all the authors you've mentioned, but have never read full series of any of them except for the Bridgerton books. Good times!

I am exciting about the Edmonia Lewis book! Isn't she something!?

I read some Courtney Milan a few years ago. Elizabeth Hoyt, too. And I haven't picked any back up lately. I am really enjoying the books I've been reading (overall, the last Pink Carnation excepted).

And yes - Jeannine's book is excellent and super well-written, and Edmonia Lewis is absolutely fascinating.
