I have a secret -- a Poetry Sister Poetry Friday post

Late to the party, but at least I'm in attendance this month! This one is a poem from Fall . . .

My poetry sisters and I agreed to write a poem in hymn meter this month (think almost anything by Emily Dickinson, or Amazing Grace, or the Theme to Gilligan's Island, or the Yellow Rose of Texas). Here is mine.

Immediately I sang this aloud to myself and grinned. I could imagine K-2 graders singing this as part of a seasons study.

I've so enjoyed all the hymn projects you poetry sisters have linked this month. A poem that starts out with a secret just pulls one in. You created a beautiful mood in just eight lines.
