It was a long wait, but well worth the wait. What a great chapter. I loved that you highlighted some of my frustrations with the show through this storyline. For instance, the lack of teaching that went on between the residents and Lexie's class of interns. It was a total disgrace. If Bailey had treated them that way when they were interns, they would have murdered someone just to see if they could bring them back to life...well actually I guess that is what they did to Denny, but that wasn't because Bailey wasn't teaching them. Anyway, and then you highlighted the whole taking sides on the Lexie/Meredith which was ridiculous. And then you have Bailey who is more concerned with the possibility that an attending might be sleeping with an intern, or rather an intern sleeping with an attending, than she is in finding out why her residents suck when it comes to teaching their interns. All of these items were dealt with swiftly and with great style and flair by you in this chapter. Loved Mark telling off Bailey. Loved Mark coming

There was so much about Season 4 that I wanted to be different...not sure if the quality of the season had anything to do with the writer's strike, but I'm going to blame it on that :) Anyway, I'm glad that I'm addressing things in a way that you think would have been appropriate...there are a few things that I really wanted to be different and so I'm having fun with taking some liberty with changing things.

I'm so sorry that the wait has been so long...it's terrible and I feel terrible about keeping everyone waiting. Aww...I'm sorry that I was torturing you...I'm going to do my best not to do that anymore :)

I do have my muse back, which has been great. Now, if I just had some time, I'd be all set...lol! I'm working feverishly on the next chapter, so hopefully that will be posted soon!

Thank you so much for the lovely comment about the quiet ways of Mark and Lexie in this story. I have always thought their communication was so intimate, even when it wasn't meant to be, and so I really want to capture that with this story.

I’m really enjoying your take on what could have, or should have, happened in season 4 and on. The build up so far has been fantastic. While I love the whole unrequited thing (or so they think)/pining for each other moments, I can’t wait to see your version of how Mark and Lexie finally get together. Nice job with this, keep it up!

I prefer to think of this as what "should have" happened...lol! I really wanted to see their relationship prior to it being this sexual thing...because they are just so much deeper than that.

Yay! You updated. This was just fantastic. I love how Mark stands up to Meredith for Lexie. Mark and Derek's conversation was priceless!

I loved that Mark told Lexie to be safe driving home, and then the moment where Lexie decides he is more then a teacher or a friend. Cannot wait for more!
