What a lovely way to see in the change from Christmas Eve to Christmas day. It sounds as if the tradition is similar to ours when I was a child. Wait until midnight, Christmas eve, to open presents.

And you seem to have found yet another unique hotel.

It is a nice tradition, isn't it? And lets parents sleep in on Christmas morning.

The hotel was remarkably cheap for what it offered. I booked as soon as I could, assuming that *everyone* would want to spend Christmas there, but in fact it seemed very quiet.

That sounds like a lovely way to start Christmas Day.

The area is really lovely I'm so glad you're enjoying your stay there.

Wow! That's some meat and cheese platter! Very impressive.

Whenever I mentioned Villa Pehuenia to people in the course of this trip they would clasp their hands to their chest and look dreamy-eyed. Now I will be doing the same.

I actually didn't manage to finish the platter in the end, and took it back to the kitchen with a few slices of cheese and ham still left. There's no actual menu in the hotel, but if there were, I would describe it as a Three Day Platter.

I was telling Joan about the platter and her response was, "you mean you could feed a small family on it?" Which made me laugh but then I suggested that it might feed more like a medium sized family. So I'm not surprised you took it back with a few slices of meet and cheese still on it.
