Thursday the 20th: from San Martín to Neuquén

Over a week behind now. Disgraceful! Here in Santiago, my disappointment over the lack of view has melted away in the face of their magnificent laundry service. The sign in the room says that laundry handed in before 1 pm will be returned by 8 pm. The local grape is Pinot Noir, which I have so far always found to be a spiteful, grudging grape...

Which of course is why winemakers love it (they see it as a challenge).

Clean laundry and a room at that price is pretty impressive.

The migas sound cool. I love eating locally niche things.

I would have been tempted to say something about the dogs too but discretion, in this case, really is the better part of valour.

Dead swamp is so not a place I'd want to tempt fate and spend a night. *g*
