Christmas Eve in Villa Pehuenia

Until about 11 am I was occupied with sorting out my Temuco travel plans, as reported earlier, but with the central hotel booked and the other cancelled, I went to Reception to ask about local walks and about the timings for the Christmas Eve (Noche Buena) dinner

Beautiful scenery, and the swanky meal sounds very jolly.

It's an incredibly beautiful place. Really worth the effort to get there.

I was definitely taken aback when Juan pointed out the horse on the platter (which I don't think I've seen anywhere else in Argentina). I felt I had to try it, out of politeness, and it was delicious, and butter-soft.

I think it was the most memorable Christmas Eve I've ever spent. I would recommend Christmas in Villa Pehuenia to anyone.
