I just don't get poetry... when I read stuff like that I think of Rick (with a silent P) from The Young Ones.

Poetry is like music I think. Some of us connect with some of it, and some of us don't. Sometimes I don't get anything from a poem when I first read it, then I read it again, in a different context, and I fall in love with it. Maybe I'll read this some other time and think, huh? But when I read it yesterday it articulated some things I was feeling in a rather direct manner.

I feel I'm missing out on something.. maybe I needed a better teacher when I was at school; there was a lot of learning it parrot fashion which was a turn off.
