Do you read much poetry? I am loving the book that poem came from, 'The World Last Night'. Also got a lot out of one of her earlier collections, which is online in its entirety if you are interested: http://www.poetrylibrary.edu.au/poems-book/our-life-is-a-box-prayers-without-a-god-0263000

I've read a lot of the older Australian poets. My father and I shared them. One of the good memories of him. His mother did too, and he got it from her. I really love those. Kinda a poetry version of Australian folk songs. And I managed to find a lot of female Australian poets too.
Not so much with the classic English ones, though I adore Tennyson. Like songs! and I've read almost nothing American.

I'm gonna get a kindle, so I'll put this book on it and read it too!

I really recommend it - so much I connect with!

With your familiarity with Australian poets, you may be able to help a friend of mine. She is teaching poetry to years 3 and 4, and presenting Henry Lawson and Banjo Paterson, and she wants to share a female Australian poet of the same era. Any suggestions?
