Unless you are Neo, in which case there is no spoon.

Since you aren't, however, more spoons for you.

As a fellow CFIDS/FMS patient, I really thank you for this link. I constantly deal with the ... "with everything you have, why do you look so healthy?" syndrome. Some of the advice on that webpage look really helpful.

Have you been to butyoudontlooksick.com yet? She's the author of the "spoon theory" and has all kinds of chronic illness info (she, herself, has Lupus).

Luv ya muchly.

Thanks. You had told me the spoon theory story before, but reading it really made a difference -- especially since I know exactly how she feels! I may give this to my doctor -- as he always looks at me like I'm wacked when I tell him it hurts too much to take a shower every day, or to wear clothes tighter than pajamas most of the time. It might also help those close to me, (ahem), understand better. Sigh~ I may submit an article to the website about this whole "dying/not dying" thing...

I hope you have better luck using the spoon theory than I have. Those who wanted to hear it, did. Those who didn't, well, didn't. *shrug*

For me, the pain has abated a great deal with the guaifenesin therapy. Who knew that Robitussin was a magic drug? I sure didn't. What I'm left with is the CFIDS, which I don't think the guai touches and the lingering neurological crap. I'm hoping that my continued wellness program will help ease the CFIDS - tho who the hell feels like exercising when all they wanna do is sleep??? The neurological stuff? Well, maybe I'll just get rich enough that ppl can call me "eccentric" rather than just "crazy". *smirk*
