Awww. sadface. :C

When I had to reformat my computer, I just copied all the stuff I was using for my legacy onto my external harddrive.

Like, I copied the world from the mods/packages folder under C: and from here: My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\InstalledWorlds, the saved game file (My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves), and any other stuff I needed. You'll just have to sift through the folders. But as long as you have all the cc copied somewhere and copy the saved game file, you should be good. Just paste the saved game in the right folder when you reinstall the game. :)

There are probably more helpful people on the interwebz, but I hope that helps a little.
