Okay- this is pretty childish of me, but I need to see if I can settle a very minor (if not offensively trivial) dispute. This is a question especially geared toward natives of the Midwest:
What is considered a "scrunchie" in the Midwest?

A scrunchie is a ponytail holder made from (/covered with/surrounded by) bunched up cloth--that is, a ring-shaped "tube" of fabric with elastic inside, with excess fabric so that it bunches up around the elastic. I used to wear them a lot as a cheerleader. I think they're kind of out of style now.
Now I'll go read everyone else's replies and feel really embarrassed if a scrunchie is something sexual or something that I just didn't know about.
