I love your new projects! The mitt and hat set is beautiful and so unique. I wish I had that skill/talent!

Thanks! It's actually not that difficult once you get the hang of the basic stitches.

Very pretty! What's the pattern for the mitts/hat?

Stulpen hand mitts: http://myblog.de/petrastrickt/page/166936

Scroll down for the English version. This is just the mitts, I just took the cable pattern and used it in a hat. The hat is just a 2x2 rib in keeping with the mitts.

Are you on Ravelry? I have some additional notes regarding the pattern over there.

Sooo umm...how long did it take you to make those mitts and hat?! And how much would you charge to make a set for me! (I'm not kidding!)

The mitts were fairly quick...they took me a weekend, then the hat took me about a week. Because I'm a slow knitter, there is no way that I could make any reasonable amount of money for my time so if you're interested, I'd just charge you for supplies and shipping. Cost of supplies can vary widely, so that would depend on what you wanted. The yarn I used for this set is a merino/cashmere blend from Australia and the exchange rate isn't as good as it used to be (it is still pretty reasonable for a cashmere blend, tho). What color are you thinking about? I probably wouldn't be able to get to this until after Xmas...it depends on how far I get with my gift knitting.

LMAO @ your avatar. hehehe

Well, I asked about turnaround time because I was hoping against hope for Christmas (knowing full well its kind of late notice for this sort of project)...if you can estimate for me how much that might cost, I still may have use for it after Christmas. I have to check. Thanks! I would really like something soft like that merino/cashmere, but I am flexible.

Well, depending on the color you want, if I have something in my personal stash, that would decrease turnaround time. Let me know what colors you want and I'll take a look into what I have. Otherwise, we'll have to order something.

I have to take stock of my Xmas gift list and see where I stand. If I can get started on your gift before then, I'll let you know.
