I started having a slightly irregular heartbeat and getting shaky, so around 12:00 I decided I was useless and should leave work instead of crying into tissues. I waited around for about 20 minutes before leaving in order to stop feeling faint, and was ok to drive home after I got off the Metro and walked (very slowly) to my car. After getting home

@_@ Irregular heartbeat is generally something I would contact a medical professional about VERY quick. 'Reasonable symptom' or not, there's no room to second-guess a serious cardiac issue. I may be paranoid due to my own paternal family history of heart conditions, but it's just not worth messing around with.
