I don't usually post much about politics in my country. The first reason is that I'm deeply ashamed of my country and its government, the second is that I don't think any foreigner person would honestly believe me, let alone understand just how bad things are. I can't believe it. Everytime I think I've seen the stupidest things that people can do, the world amazes me yet again. I can understand people wanting to be cruel, wanting to be powerful...but this is simple fear. Fear of the masses so strong that they don't mind admiting to the rest of the world that they can't control their own nation. How can they possibly imagine that this makes them look like anything but cowardly fools? You don't know me, I just randomly wandered by your site today, but your post was so shocking that I had to reply. And I fully intend to spread the word--to remind people in my own country why we have to pay attention and fight for our rights, if nothing else. Thanks for the heads up.

One year later and I feel like America is becoming this. The media only talks about what it feels is most profitable to talk about, not what's most necessary. One party has plans to try and fix things, plans that probably aren't strong enough true, but plans none the less.

But what does the media talk about? A preacher who is angry for all the right reasons, a lipstick-on-a-pig comment taken WAY out of context, and not a word about how free-lance news organizations were arrested without cause just to gag them at the Republican convention.
