i have that problem to with my lj as well XD i have lots of people friending me but don't ask to be friended in my friends only post XD which is why i still haven't friended them, i need them to post saying they wanted to be added, now i have alot of friends on my lj (i'm thinking of doing a friend cut soon) i have alot of lurkers in my lj but i've even stated in my lj that comments are nice and wanted, now i know it's a little different for you since you also do art, but since i post alot of doujinshi it's a little different XD though i don't mind sharing my stuff if i find it elsewhere and no given credit then it bugs me. I don't expect everyone on my friendslist to get to know me better but i do expect a little talking from alot of them.

like i have 226 friends and i would say not even about 50% of them talk to me at all. though some are close friends then i understand why they don't talk (mostly cause they don't use lj that much so that's understandable)

Hehe, with how much doujinshi you have it's not surprising you must get that a lot more than me @__@; Well I don't like the idea of writing about my personal stuff and posting my art for anyone to see. If the person sounds cool and interesting most of the time I'll be the one begging to be friended anyway so I know how it is haha XDD

haha yeah XD sometimes i do feel that people just friend me because of my doujinshi (alot of people friended me because of all my posts on yaoi daily) not that i mind since most of my posts lately are for my doujinshi's and i'm nice enough now to let people choose which books they might like to see XD anyway i don't think you sound bitchy to me.

Well it's not really about that. I just think it's weird having ppl I don't even know look at my art and life stuff I guess.

And I don't want to sound like a grouch either but damn, I was a bit taken aback by this mini-flood of people that started friending me out of nowhere @__@;

I know how you feel. It's actually because of that reason that I shut down my own site. A lot of my arts and other stuff were leeched away and some even had the NERVE of claiming ME of stealing when they are MINE!! GETS ME SOOO MAD!!! With some help from my friends, I managed to reclaim my works and get back at those sh*t heads.

I agree that it's not too much to ask that people say something once in a while! Even if its just a simple "hello" or "thanks" it takes the weirdness away!

Exactly! ...There's some people that I used to chat a lot with but don't talk to me anymore for one reason or another but are still on my flist. Most of the time I don't mind but then you can also get this weird feeling of rejection and that's not pleasant either.
