Supernatural bable, probably tldr;
I started watching this show about a month ago (I downloaded seasons 1-4 in a week, thank you setos_puppy, me love you long time) and got hooked instantly. It's got everything; It can be scary, strange, funny, angsty, filled with not-so-subtle innuendo moments and of course sexy men (I'm looking at you, Dean!)
When I first started watching I tried to familiarize myself with the fandom a bit, so of course the first slash pairing that I encountered was Sam/Dean. I wasn't too keen on the idea (incest pairings are not my thing), and while watching seasons 1-3 I tried to get into it but the idea never really took off for me. Their brotherly love is awesome, but not sexual. (...Maybe an evil!Sam/Dean fic would be nice though *giggles*)
By season 4, I was definitely a fangirl. A Dean girl to the core! His character is the main reason I craved fanfics, and the first fic I read in the fandom was a Gen/Angst fic centered around Dean and wee!Sam. I loved it and wanted more, but I have a hard time finding ones that are worth reading. In my search I discovered I CANNOT tolerate OOC in this fandom.
I'm gonna go on a tangent here and talk about Castiel. When I first started the show I knew angels were gonna come around in later seasons, and I saw that Cas had a lot of fangirls. Now I know why @___@ Falling in love with him was inevitable :P Of course this love paved the way for my (new) OTP; Dean/Cas! <33333 I could write volumes on why they go so well together but if any of you guys watched the show you already know about them :P
So, to get back on track; I wants me some Dean/Cas (or Cas/Dean) fanfics! I've read a couple so far on FFnet, and I was lucky to click on those with decent Castiel characterizations. But that's when I realized I couldn't tolerate OOC with him, because he's so quirky and pure and special, one misplaced word can make him totally OOC in fanfics. For example, I was trying out a new fic yesterday and just one line was enough to put me off. Dean and Cas were talking and Cas says "Did I screw up your plan, Dean?"
And I went BWHUUUU??? Okay, Cas does not say the word screw. He might be cut off from heaven, and he might be starting to feel doubt and along with it, start to experience some degree of human emotions, but he's still an Angel - And a good one at that - and he would never say words like "screw" (even if it's not meant to be sexual) in a casual conversation (key word: Casual). Does this make any sense or am I being too picky here?
So my request is this: Do any of you guys have Dean/Cas fic recs for me? Know a good Dean/Cas community on lj? Or just a good SPN fic community?
I haven't watched ep100 yet (Today will be a long day until I get back home and download it) but the preview was enough to make me crave Dean/Cas fics like woah @____@
