i thought it would go away. i thought i just hated school because i still was in "summer mode" and i thought i'd get used to it. i thought my classes would end up ok and it would be like every other year. i thought wrong. it still sucks

wow. i read that and i seriously thought it was one of my lj entries a year ago. go back and read some... they sound just like yours. I felt EXACTLY the same way you're feeling. I had NO clue what college to apply to. I made the mistake of letting my dad pick... don't do that. It's hard when you don't knowwhat you want to do. I still don't know what to do. I picked my major at orientation... after changing it 3 times that weekend. seriously... it was like an hour before we had to sign up for classes when i picked my major. Have you looked at the apps yet? Cause i was scared too until I saw them and i was like, wow... that was easy. Especially if you do common app. You can do one application and appy to like a gazillion schools. it's awesome. man... just apply and get it over with, cause once you do, you can relax. it's much easier after all this is over with. believe me... ask anyone- i was the poster child for college-induced stress last year. my mom still brags to everyone she meets that i made her life hell for a year. but i turned

umm...i feel exactly the same way as you do right about now. my classes are incredibly hard, except for like 2, and i'm soooo sick of hearing about college apps i think i'm going to stick potatoes in my ears until this whole thing is over w/. my mom says my life lacks direction. i keep changing my mind about majors. i have no idea what i want to do w/ the rest of my life. i completely missss everyone in orch. so, in other words, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! i know that we'll all get through this.

p.s.- if i ever annoy you or anything, tell me to go to hell.

aww kiddo. I promise it'll be alright. SAT II are sooo different from the SATs so don't stress about that. College apps are way more scary when you're just staring at them then when you're actually filling them out. choosing sucks but you dont have to choose now. Apply to wherever you think you might want to go (it's not that bad because a lot of the questions overlap) and choose later when it's an issue. Don't freak out. Don't worry about everyone else, just figure out what you need to do. And if you need any help with anything just let me know and i'll be glad to help...whatever you need. I'll call you later this weekend and see how you're doing. Deep breaths kiddo.

i have a feeling you are taking the SAT II's to get credit for some stuff which is not depressing it's AWESOME! yes! and don't worry, everything will get better...and the deadlines arent for a little while still. just take it a little at a time, you will eventually be motivated enough to do it just cuz you want to, k? k stop worrying, and i'm sorry orchestra blows. if you are in orchestra with me next year, that will totally make my life.
