i've never cheated on anyone. nor do i plan to. i do not condone such actions either. but i feel the point must be made that despite the validity of your arguments things are not as simple as that. commitment and dedication and the feelings or well being of another person, no matter how close to you they are can easily be forgotten. its about being in the moment. people who smoke don't think about cancer every time they take a drag. when you get in a car you probably don't think about the possibility of getting in an accident and being paralyzed from the neck down for the rest of your life. in much the same way, when physical gratification and relief from an undesired situation are at hand ones commitment can be forgotten just as easily. thats not to say its justified in any way. its not simple or easy enough to put down on paper either though. shit just happens and i dont think cheating should be a death sentence for anyone. if you ask me though, the moment the thought of cheating enters another persons head, the

and in that case its a matter of cowardice or plain selfishness on the part of the person who wants out. most people, instead of deal with the problem head on and face the other person would rather just escape into someone elses life or personality or bedsheets, especially if facing the problem involves hurting someone else directly.

i must say though i find it interesting coming from a guy who can barely maintain eye contact.
