LJ Idol Topic :- Run, don't walk

"Mommy, I got you the bestest present! Come see! Come see!" She couldn't help but smile at the little boy hugging her. She hadn't wanted to love him. He looked so much like HIM. It had been difficult to see past that. Unlike his sire though, he was full of light and air. Thankfully, the man hadn't managed to kill his spirit.

Wow. I simply loved that! I can't remember its name but one of my favorite stories growing up was about selkies so reading this was totally fantastic, and such an unexpected delight. And my God, that ending!

Glad you enjoyed it. There's another part of this that deals with what happens to the children after she left, so hopefully I can fit that into another prompt.

I found the site below while doing research on selkies if you're interested in reading more tales.

Thanks. I had no idea you wrote so well. When I had you on my flist you didn't post often. I don't mean that in a bad way. It's great to see you writing.

It's been a challenge. I'm quiet on LJ if I'm working at a client site. I keep crazy hours when getting a job done so I'm usually too brain-dead to even think of posting when I get home. If the deadline had been Friday instead of Saturday this week, I'd have been eliminated.

I also don't post when I'm fighting the depression demon. I get irritated with how whiny I get then, so I try not to spread the negativity.
