Ill take this up a step.

The Muse pic was taken in March or April 2004 somewhere in a small club in North America.

A) He's got that tiny goatee that he was growing out that was at its biggest height before the Atlanta show. it was shaved soon after
B) He's wearing the shirt he bought in Japan, which they toured in late 2003.
C) When he smashed his face up with a guitar in Atlanta later that year he got blood all over that shirt.
D) Just because.

Also: That guitar is the Manson Bomber "Mattocaster."

Although it was built for Matt, he still had to pay for it.
It was around 3500 pounds.
He uses it for songs in standard tuning.
