Raine is easily the most important figure in Genis' life. Older sister, teacher and mother-figure - she's looked after him for all his life, and continues to do so here in Luceti, even as he's two years from her future. He's glad that she's here, though, no matter how selfish it sounds; it helps keep things easier to understand, and accept. He still thinks she works too hard. It worries him - so he does what he can to help her out, so that she doesn't work herself to exhaustion. And make sure she eats healthy... Or at all.

Strictly speaking, Genis puts up with Albert simply because he is a housemate and Raine’s research partner. Initially, Genis had misgivings about the man, and was suspicious of his relations to his sister. He has since changed that idea, though. He appreciates that Albert does his part in keeping Raine from working too hard, and even looks out for her, to an extent.
He's still not allowed to start that kind of relationship with her, though. :I
Arche Klaine | ★★★★
Arche was one of the very first friends Genis made in Luceti. The two hit it off pretty well, given their shared interest and proficiency in magic. She's a bit of a trouble-maker, and Raine likely doesn't approve of the kind of shenanigans these two keep getting into. But Arche is one of the few half-elf friends Genis has made, and that makes her friendship pretty significant. She's lots of fun, too, and keeps up with his attitude pretty well. Whether or not he has a crush on her is up for debate, but she is pretty awesome in his book.
