I don't know what I expected.

Subtlety? Length to be proportional to the size of the source material?

I was disappointed on both accounts.

On the plus side, it did not beat out Hannibal ALEXANDER for the most tedious movie ever award.

i myself thought it was boring, poorly written, devoid of character development or emotion (ang lee tried, but i wasn't buying it), i thought the score was repetetive and boring as all get-out...i just felt like i wasted my time watching it. i saw it for free at the union, and free was too much money to pay. hmmph! the horsies were cute, and they were the only bright spot in the stupid thing...hehe

oh yeah, and i could hardly understand a word heath ledger's character said, because he mumbled the whole time...errrg.

Yeah, Sarah seemed to catch a lot of the dialog that I simply could not understand. She called me a city boy.

Hannibal LECTER was a mass murderer.

Hannibal was a great General of Carthage. He is remembered for crossing the alps with elephants (yes, in Europe) and attacking Rome.

One of the greatest military leaders in public memory.

And my middle name.

yes, but when talking about movies, and mentioning Hannibal, everyone, including myself, will assume that you are talking about Hannibal Lecter....NYA NYA NYA!
