Everything worked out last minute for us, between both of us getting the weekend off, having my folks watch Ripley (our dog), getting a hotel room for a NYC decent price (though I'm still dry-heaving at what passes for "a decent price" in NYC!) and getting Joe a badge in the nick of time before the prices went up at the door for...
