Getting back into the swing of things after Comic*Con

Apr 30, 2008 20:19

Whew! Things have been on the very busy side since we got back from Comic Con. Which, I have to say, was pretty darn cool! I still enjoy Dragon*Con the best, as the events take place right at the hotels and there's more fandoms and folks in costume to ogle at! :) But Comic*Con was spiffy all in itself. Joe and I got to see his cousin at the Avatar ( Read more... )

Oh wow, way cool about Mark Evanier!!

And Conestoga welcomes all comers! *VVVVVVBG* I don't know that we could have a separate room this year, and I'll be spending a lot of time working in the Art Show anyway, but I won't be working evenings so we can definitely have group hang outs then! And this may be the last year when travel costs are even remotely feasible. *pushes*

Nice to know that you had fun!!

**gives Kimmy the Eagle Eye** wish you could say who the cousin is, though. LOL

yah, work is getting back into the swing of things again, after two weeks of being lazy. Just in time for me to have requested an ACTUAL day off [figured it'd be nice, with the hubby graduating from college and all...LOL Well, getting his bachelor's, anyhoo]

Huh? Have I never mentioned his name? *tries to remember* Joe's cousin is Mike, as in Michael Dante DiMartino. Lol! Sorry about that. Wish ya could've been there... Mike and Bryan (Konietzko) did up a trailer for the upcoming remaining eps of Avatar's last season. Very cool! And do they know what to show that'll push the fangirls' buttons! LOL! Looks like it'll start back up in July.
And talk about the movie (live-action, that M. Night Shyamalan is doing) is really interesting.

Oh, and a Big Congrats to Mike! That's a major accomplishment, that! Good for him! I still think you both oughta move to NY though. ;) Enjoy that day off, hey!

heh...oh, it's probably on the web already, at least I've seen a trailer, anyhoo. O_o At this rate though, I'll probably have to wait for season 3 to come out on DVD [either that, or see if I can find a place to rent to catch up], 'cause I've not seen *any* of season 3 yet, and I'm *sure* I've missed *lots* of important stuff! [like, gosh, when I went back and watched Season 1, you got to see Azula *way* before you even learned who she was, and that Aang had the nightmare about the storm THE FIRST EPISODE. O_o I'd also forgotten that Ba Sing Se was mentioned first season, as *well* as the LIBRARY where they eventually figure out when the eclipse happens...heh ( ... )
