These mini banner announcements are one thing if they're going to announce a planned down-time. But plastering them across paid accounts to advertise your latest "LJ Games"? If I had even the slightest motivation to play those games, it would have been lost right there.

yeah, i just clicked mine closed, but that's aggravating. and so stupid of them to do ANYTHING that makes LJ less attractive to those of us who pay for it.

I didn't even think about seeing if Adblock would kill that..I clicked it closed...but was still a little annoyed by it.
