No Peeps

I searched high and low yesterday, and there were no Peeps to be found!

I've already shared my Peeps and was hoping to pick up some more.

Saturday evening, there was a whole freaking endcap of them at Target (which was closed Sunday). Monday by lunch, there was NOTHING.

I smell a conspiracy.

I am not sure if I will be at BBD, yet. It depends on a number of other factors.

But we're long overdue for getting together, anyway. True, our plans to Cook Things With Fire! have been thwarted by a combination of weather and other obligations... but I'm still hoping to be able to do that, some time, as well.

Kevin picked a box up for me during the mad Saturday night rush... and they were completely stale! Not the good stale, the way-beyond-good-into-rock-hard type. Peep jousting is my only hope.

From another part of the USA -- I didn't see any here today when I perused the Easter closeouts. Just chocolate covered Peeps. And no Cadbury mini-eggs, which is what I was after. >_>

People are stockpiling! The end is near! I bought one can of French Market coffee and the woman behind me had like EIGHT of them. The cashier tried to give her mine, thinking she had rung it up by accident. NO! She cannot have it! She's already hogging what was left on the shelves. I'm just glad I got there first and secured my one can of chicory goodness. Greedy wench.

Clear Creek Kroger (on the South Side) had a whole pile of them as of yesterday afternoon. Might check there. :)
