Tragedy at the State Fair

It sounds like something that would only happen in a crazy song, but a fast-moving storm blew through Indianapolis earlier this evening, and blew the main stage down onto fans gathering for a Sugarland concert.

The early reports are that at least four five were killed and over two dozen 45 injured - numbers that are surely going to rise ( Read more... )

Oh my gosh, how horrible. I heard the storm last night, but I'd already gone to bed.

I hope all the people are out of the wreckage.

Terrifying! It must have happened late enough EDT that it didn't make the newspaper back here today.

It was a little after 9pm. In fact, they did actually say on the news last night that the Sunday Indianapolis Star would be late in the morning, due to them trying to hold off to get the most information as possible into the issue.
