So I went to Kisumai's evening concert at Osaka Jo Hall on May 5th.
I wanted to share my notes on the concert (which was so amazing, by the way).
Concert Report
Osaka Jo Hall 5/5
Had AMAZING arena seats, between the middle and the main stage. I could see everyone and they could SEE ME! Best seats I’ve ever had at a concert.
Concert opened with overture and Girl Is Mine. They came out of the ceiling on those cool floating circular stages. On our side were Yokoo and Senga.
They all looked sooooo good! Especially Taipi and Tama-chan *____* biased
They also looked tired but still performed energetically. Yokoo and Tama though didn’t have nearly as much energy as the rest of the boys.
Mitsu was definitely the liveliest of the bunch (omg he was so cute and charming!!). Senga was also super genki.
First to dance on our side was Yokoo then Mitsu.
Mitsu gave the two fangirls in front of us a lot of fanservice-lots of intense eye contact and pointing, etc.
Tama didn’t give any fanservice until the very end. He got lively when throwing his signed balls and was a huge tease about them… I kept pouting at him for one but I’m not sure if he was reacting to me or someone in front of me because the ball only made it halfway into the arena when he threw it.
The main juniors there were Yasui Kentaro & Co (Casey Anderson, Sharafu(?), Watanabe, etc). A mixed group of Kanju were there for support (Kusumoto, Okazaki, Richard, Uemura, Nairu, Asada Junya, Imae Daichi, Joichiro, and the little ones like Iori etc). I thought I spotted Masaya but I can’t be sure because he never came close and there were too many juniors on stage.
Screamed for Casey extra loud for my friend Christy’s sake (she’s a huge Casey fan and she couldn’t be there).
And let me just say: Yasui Kentaro<3<3<3<3 (I’ll get to that later)
Songs that I remember them singing: Girl is Mine, Everybody Go, We Never Give Up, Ame, Inori (!!), Fire Beat (!), 3D Girl (!), all the solo/unit songs from the album, Take Over (omg this was SO. MUCH. FUN.!!), She!Her!Her!
I was REALLY REALLY hoping they’d sing Inori, Fire beat, and 3D Girl so when they did I FREAKED. OUT. So much xDD
Also I freaked out during Taipi’s solo because I love that song and I just KNEW it was gonna be a sexy performance (he was lying on a bed in the middle of the stage holding a teddy bear, then the bed flies up with him on it for a while, then he comes down and does a sexy dance and HIS HIP THRUST asldkfjasldjf)
MC-
Mitsu talks about his fail today- when he came out to do his solo, his guitar pick got stuck in his guitar, he messed up the lyrics, he messed up playing the guitar part, and when he slid down the ramp from the upper stage, he found his mic tilted at an awkward position and had to readjust it.
They talk about shared rooms-Tama, Miyata, Mitsu shared a room. Miyata talks in his sleep. Was yelling things like “muri muri muri muri!!” Mitsu and Tama’s beds are so close that when facing each other, they were right at each other’s faces.
Taipi and Yokoo shared a room. They always get up at the same time to use the bathroom in the middle of the night xD
NikaSen shared a room. Were hanging out with Yasui Kentaro, Anderson Casey (practiced rapping in English together) and other juniors. Nika passed out on Yasui’s bed. When Nika passes out, you can do anything and he won’t wake up (nudge him, hug him, etc). They couldn’t wake him up so they all collaborated to move him back to his bed… they carried him with the sheets back to his bed lol. Nika goes “so THAT’s how I woke up in my own bed!! I don’t remember falling asleep in my bed…”
Senga was being very close to Nika while telling this story. A little kimoi lol.
Later they had a She!Her!Her! segment where they all came out dressed as girls and did a kind of MC type thing.
They came out of a tent thingie in the middle stage for this part, but before they came out the music suddenly stopped and there was an awkward silence. They had some kind of technical difficulties and the audience and Casey etc were all “eeeeehhhhh??” but Yasui handled it SO WELL. He started laughing and clapping and motioning to the crowd to laugh and clap as well. He made a joke out of it and it was really cute. All the boys kept making jokes about it later like “toraburu~~~~~~”, especially since Mitsu’s solo had a couple of mishaps too.
Back to the She!Her!Her! segment-
The challenge was “your parting words on a date”
Yokoo asked for a kiss at the end of the date
Senga sat down on the soap box with his legs wide open prompting the other boys to come and close them for him and cover him up with his skirt (we could see his red shorts underneath). He was all manly but insane… don’t remember what he said at the end of the date.
Nika was precious in his long blue wig and his end of the date was like a drama-after his date he says bye to his date and goes back home, kneels down in front of the altar, prays to his dead dad and tells him how happy he is with his boyfriend and how he’s thinking of marrying him. LOL
Tama wore a pink wig that suited him a little too well. He went up and immediately turned into an adorable girl being all “saigo ni, kiss wo shiyou~” and then he gets off all ANGRY and “manly” and walks across the stage in this exaggerated manly way lolol.
Mitsu had too much fun with his giant fake boobs. He was running around the stage, sticking his chest out in front of him. His end of the date was him driving in the car talking to this date… couldn’t pay attention to what he was saying because he kept squeezing his boobies every other sentence. Lol
Taipi looked so hot with his hot red wig, and looked the prettiest of them all… but then went on stage and used an extra manly voice. Don’t remember what he said either… something about “let’s end this date with you on top of me” and then everyone went asldkjfslkjflaskjf and he was like “WHAT!?!?! It only sounds bad because you people react like that!! I was only talking about giving a piggy-back-ride” lolol
Miyata was all kinds of fail, as expected. Somehow his date ended up being ET and they ended up going up into space together. It was so uncute and award they kept making him do it again and each time it got worse. Like, he ends on “let’s go to your planet together!” and the boys go “okay, now you’ve REACHED the alien planet” and again he’d say something unfunny and end it with “I can’t find the punchline!” and then they’d go “okay, now you’ve FOUND your punch line” but still his ending line was “I can’t find my punchline” and they ended up beating him up on stage. lol
Then Mitsu come out of the mess dressed as a guy again, tells them to all check their bodies, they freak out because they have other THINGS there now, and he announces to them that they are boys! So they change back into boy outfits this time. Lol
At one point Tama-chan came on the moving cart thingie right by our side, and the two girls in the aisle let us take their seats for that bit, but as soon as he came close to us, he turned around and faced the other way and gave service to the other fans. The whole time he was RIGHT THERE but even when he turned around he just WOULDN’T look our way. It almost felt on purpose like the ONE spot I was standing was the ONE spot he WOULD NOT look. T__T
I was super close to him though!
And then Miyata came right after him. He faced the other way too >.<
(later when Yokoo came out though he waved at us)
At one point Mitsu and Tama came out at the very top of the stage and the camera kept finding little kids in the audience amongst Tama-chan uchiwas. Mitsu was like “find some Kitayama!!!” and then… THEY PUT THE CAMERA ON US. Suddenly all I could see was my NOSE and half my uchiwa >.< I waved and then put the uchiwa up to my face so they could see what it said… also because it was EMBARASSING AS HELL. Whitney hid behind her uchiwa and screamed at me the entire time. I have no idea what they commented during that entire time because my brain functions were just going: EMERGENCY!!!!!!!!!!!! the entire time ;___; Totally blanked out there >.<
At least now I know that Tama DID see me though, whether he wanted to or not xD
Later he waved our way a couple of times but I can’t be sure it was actually for ME.
Also I think I fell in love with Nika thanks to this concert (Nika’s was always a member I didn’t pay attention to but he really GOT me to pay attention and well… I really like what I saw<3)
Junior Stuff:
Yasui’s group performed Bokura no Machi De, Weeek, and something else.
Kanju sang Next Stage, something and lady diamond
Yasui Kentaro time story time!!
So Yasui Kentaro noticed us right from the get-go and kept looking and smiling our way the entire concert. He definitely gave his attention to us for the entire first two songs that he was on stage.
Him and I also had a moment during one of the songs (can’t remember which alskd) while he was in front of us dancing and I was copying his hand motions. He kept eye contact the entire and I was just dancing along with him. It was REALLY cute. Kinda like he was teaching me the dance.
Let me just tell you, this kid definitely won me as a fan. Not only because he gave me and my friend so much attention and fanservice, but also because of his energy, smile, and the way he handled himself the entire concert. He was such a sweety, smiling and giving the fans attention and riling people up THE WHOLE TIME. The other boys all did their jobs… they danced. Yasui, I felt, did a lot more because he wasn’t just going through the motions but he was THERE and he was ON and he gave us every last bit of himself. This boy definitely has that THING, that star quality, and you could see it from the moment he stepped on stage.
I also had a moment with Sharafu (sp?) when he was dancing in front of us. I waved at him and he smiled and attempted the hand motions with him.
Also the little kid from Yasui’s group with the yellow “Pirates” shirt (can’t remember his name for the life of me!), when he walked by during one of the encores as they were saying goodbye, he glanced our way and I waved and yelled “BYE BYE!!!” at him and he flashed this HUGE grin and waved back. Reminded me of my elementary school students xDD <3
I also flailed so much at Iori (Kanju) but he didn’t see me :(
Overall it was an awesome, awesome concert and I had soooo much fun!!! I still can’t believe how amazing our seats were! I got to see Kisumai and the Juniors with my own eyes and verify that they ACTUALLY EXIST and aren’t some kind of high-tech Johnny’s holograms or something. LOL.
I really really hope I can see Kisumai sometime again and I can’t wait for this tour’s DVD to come out!!<3<3
