It sucks to hear about your head owie. Hope it heals up well.

Kenny, what about checking out the U of M? You have a degree...might as well do something with it. The jobs are posted online every Monday morning. Pay and benefits are good. I can't believe I didn't think about that before...silly me.

Hehe, if you learned German just to read "All Q2uiet on the Western Front" in its original language...you would be my hero forever. But did you like the book? Has it tickled something in your brain? Let me know.

Head is doing fine, thanks. kenduane February 11 2006, 03:54:06 UTC
You aren't the first person to suggest U of M to me. I think that I always avoid it because I am not sure if part time their would pay well enough or supply any benefits, and I don't want to leave the Polo Fields.
I do very much like reading the book, thank you. The language and style is very interesting. I'm over half way through, but not done yet. I've been too tired to read a lot.
Whenever I read a war novel, I am always curious as to how the author is going to do something new and different with this inordinarily popular theme. I don't just want them to shock me into realizing that "war is hell," as so many movies and books have done. In that sense, I don't think the author unveiled anything. It's the way he says it... the language itself provokes thought and inspires a sort of melancholy disposition.
More to come upon completion...

Well hey, thanks. kenduane February 11 2006, 03:56:33 UTC
Very nice to hear from you. You and BJ are cool.
Yeah, the place is relatively new, it's called Fiamma's, and it is owned by the people who own Argerio's (sp). Have you heard of it? Any advice?
Anyway don't worry about my noggin. It's seriously proven to be very durable, and I'm always down for killing a few brain cells anyway.
