My parents names are Glenn and Stacey.
My Dad played in bands since he was 13, sax and guitar. He went to Vietnam as a Sargent of the special forces when he was 18. He served two terms there and came back safe for college. He graduated as the student body president from goldengate university with a degree in accounting. He lived in a few different state for a few different jobs and eventually ended up in Fort Wayne. He is an entrepreneur and has started at least 10 companies in my lifetime. Right now he is the president and coo of a biofuel company that converts landfill municipal solid waste into oil. He writes sci-fi novels in his spare time and enjoys golf. He is one of the wisest people I know and insanely intelligent. His IQ is over 130. He is a really good Dad and has a ton of really crazy life stories. My favorite activity with him while I lived at home was going out to dinner, and then to borders to buy a ton of books, go home having a political debate, and stay up all night watching cheesy sci-fi and action movies while everyone else was sleeping.
My mom just turned 50 this year. She was a model starting at age 17 when she was selected to be part of a fashion show held by 17 magazine. She had a lot of gigs, following suit of my grandmother who was a pretty successful model in her day. She married my dad when she was 21, he was 34. She graduated from beauty school and became a cosmetologist until my older sister Brittney was born. She then spent the next 12 years as a stay at home mom. She is insanely crafty and has a killer knack for decorating. Her cooking is superb and she really is the glue that keeps our immediate and extended family together. She works one day a week at Rustic Hutch, watches my nephew on Wed, and golfs almost every other day of the week. She shot a 97 the other day. I used to resent her a lot when i was a teenage because she seemed so perfect and I never thought I could live up to her... but as the years have passed she has chilled out a lot. She is always there to listen to me and I can tell her almost anything. We share the same odd sense of humor and can find the most mundane things and concepts hillarious. If I ever get married I aspire to be as good of a wife and mother as she is someday.
