He is correct, clitorides is the plural form of clitoris.
As for your friend Matt...he's just like my friend Ally from my Human Reproduction class. She made a special effort to show me pictures of diseased and disfigured sex organs that I missed out on seeing in classes I slept through.

well it seems that "octopodous" is the greek plural form...but the word itself is still based off of greek roots and it wouldn't be incorrect to say "octopodes" instead of "octipi" which is a Latin ending stuck onto a greek word.
The encyclopedia I looked it up in referred to "octopus" in the plural as "octopuses" which is more correct than "octopi"
But who cares about traditional form of language...isn't the whole purpose of language to evolve as it is commonly spoken by humans?
Are you allowed to trademark a word that already exists? I would think that Howard Sterns might want to develop a new line of ...apparatus, called Clitorides (TM)
