The other day Holden got into the Christmas decorations and found this small star-shaped Nativity display we have. It's ceramic but it looks like wood and it has Mary and Joseph and the baby Jesus and a couple angels. He wanted to sit and stare at it and did so for over an hour ( Read more... )

I'm not sure why, but a good percentage of austistics tend to wind up athiests oe somethgin similar. (I consider myself a Nihilist)

But it's awesome you're willing to teach all different kinds, too many people are locked in the "I'm right and everybody else is wrong" mentality.

Oh, if he has problems saying "mom" to a pic of you, maybe try having Alex do it with him instead. I have no idea if this is just me, but I've always had trouble saying people's names to them. No clue why, but when I was little I'd do everything I could to not call someone by name. (but if I was talking about them to someone else, no problem.)
Eh, I'm weird.

I'm agnostic myself, but I'm also that weirdo that studies serial killers because their mental states interest me to no end. Religion kinda falls into that same mindset.

I feel more strongly about my choice of fanfic than religion. Never Harry Potter, never incest, never Toki/Murderface, always Nathan/Charles, sometimes Sherlock/Watson.

I think his name-thing comes from his expressive language disorder. If you tell him to pick up a specific toy, he can find it and get it, but he can't tell *me* what it is.
