How to handle this one

So last week in class I was talking with my masters students (these guys are fluent and crazy intelligent) and one of my students, Sung, mentioned that his parents are really old and conservative. Careful, there! All I would do there is to maybe tell him in private that "his friend" shouldn't be going to saunas, as that's not very safe (at least I'm expecting it's not very safe :P). Also, can you be so sure everything is going to be all right for him? Considering where he lives? You and I know it's not a big deal, but for him it might as well be.

Also, *g*, have you considered the fact that he might be hitting on YOU :D

yeah, the sauna comment was an interesting one, because at his age, I would assume that he is still going to the sauna with his parents, or at least some form of parental supervision (I could be wrong here). I'm not sure that everything will be alright. I hope it will.

and *g*, I really don't think he is hitting on me. At least I hope not. Really hope not. And I'm 99.9% sure that that is not the case.

The term before I started teaching Masters, one of the debate topics was on gay marriage. I don't know whether to be relieved that I don't have to deal with that topic or a bit disappointed.

They have debates on gay marriage in middle schools in KOREA?
Sounds like a more progressive place than most of the USA.
