Well, your decision to become a positive person seems to me great. it's true that things go as you think about it. if you're determined to take everything positively, it'll undoubtedly bring you happiness.
As for fandom things, if the time for you to seize it comes, it'll happen naturally for you. It's possible that you even won't notice the time when you've stopped to idolize someone.
