After about 3 weeks, I took the day off from work and went to Fair Oaks Mall's DMV to get my permanent license updated with my shiny new "M". I remember that random trip for you license/title transfer thingy. It was funny b/c there were some scary 16 year olds with coach bags there if I remember correctly.

Speaking of the BMV, I have to go to the one here to switch over my own license! I was avoiding it in part due to a strike of most of the DriveTest employees in Ontario, which meant only 1 BMV was open for all of Toronto (ya know 2 million people) and you weren't sure if you'd get service from 8a-5p @_@. Luckily the strike is over so I can make it to the BMV that is closer to the subway and has a bus route that goes by and I can flip it here soon. I'm just shocked that a normal license here costs $125! At least when I switch I can use Zipcar or Autoshare which would be nice for big grocery hauls.

wow, that would've sucked! Glad they stopped striking. So was it a direct transfer for you, or did you have to take a test or anything? For $125 i hope you got a good picture at least :)
