What I have learnt so far from travelling Europe.
1. You can't escape Nickelback. Ever.
2. Driving on the wrong side of the road is scary.
3. France sucks.
4. The most expensive thing you can do is sleep.
5. Breaking up with your girlfriend 3 days into a 7 week trip, isn't as bad as it sounds.
6. France sucks.

2. Update - the narrow roads that say 100km/h when I'm too scared to go over 60 are worse.
3. No update, I've always had a dislike for France ever since the first time I went there.
5. Sure was me! We're doing ok, still close, still friends, etc. Full update at Fringe I reckon.

Also, i know you're independent/strong enough to make the remaining 6 1/2 weeks awesome, so you better live up to it!

As for the awesome, things have actually been better between us since breaking up oddly enough. And we're having all sorts of fun, seeing some incredible sights, and learning lots. World War II and World War I and the troubles in Belfast were all pretty horrific. You read about them in books, but there is something terribly humbling about seeing first hand where things occurred and talking to people who were involved.

As for France, I don't know why, but I just have never been able to figure it out, the country seems needlessly difficult I guess. Been there three times, and each time wasn't awesome.
