It was a great day. New number plate for the car, my first visit to a Lodge outside of Kansas (they weren't able to open, but better a Table Lodge than no meeting at all), and upon that visit, learning more about a past president than I expected to. Can't really complain about today. Tomorrow, Grand Lodge. -
I can just 'feel' the love....
I know it's just me, but I don't get it. How someone reeling from a break-up find themselves in a relationship weeks, if not months after the relationship ended? And here I am, five years since my last relationship ended, and I'm way beyond single, turning into mere loneliness. Although I'm meeting new people, I'm finding it increasingly difficult ( Read more... ) -
I'm sure this funk I'm in isn't supposed to last this long....

The holidays....
I've been kind of bummed this holiday season. Didn't even play any kind of holiday music intentionally until Christmas morning, while I got ready to go to my folks' house. More repairs...
Saturday afternoon, while running around after getting new tires for the car, transmission decides to break something internally. No overdrive. 3rd gear doesn't work. Pretty much got home then to mom and dad's on Sunday in 2nd gear. Time for a rebuild... -
So, about this new gig at work....
Off the phones, working disputes, 9a-5:30p Monday-Friday. The schedule I had before this was really wearing on my sleep schedule. Seriously. And trying to get it changed was simply impossible in my eyes. I put in the change to my supervisor and just stays on the wait list. Enough with the schedule....bottom line. LOVING IT!! I have realised over the past couple of years that my beard has reached a stopping point as far as growing it out is concerned. Seems like it's been the same length for a couple years. Might need to start trimming it every once in a while..
New position at work starting Monday morning. Very excited.

- Finding out what everyone else is doing....the day after. And it's happening way too often.
- Since I don't know what's going on (aside from stuff I've planned/committed to), I have a tendency to either drive out of town to see RHPS on Friday and/or Saturday nights or spend the day/evening in Lawrence.
