So this is directed primarily at Kevin Zimmerman. I am trying to quote Bob Dylan for my commencment speech. I have the song but i dont know what lyrics to use. Argh. I am using Bob Dylans Dream.

With half-damp eyes I stared to the room, where my friends and I spent many an afternoon, where we together weathered many a storm, laughin' and singing 'till the early hours of the morn'.
i don t know if you could get away with using a single line just because the whole song is a whole, to take away anything would be getting away from the general feeling. im not saying that because i want to sing it, its just too hard to pick any single line. try simon and garfunkel 'old friends', that might be a bit easier. the thing about it is any dylan song could be used to mean anything. like 'dont think twice' , for some it is taken literal and for others sarcastically (personally literal i believe in it). other dylan songs such as 'boots of spanish leather' (same melody as '..dream') is also if you are writing about leaving, but thats more like a love song sortof. i would just let everyone listen to it or read the whole thing. its beautiful.
