So yesterday i bought the DS Chrono Trigger re-release.

It has long been sort of a goal of mine to play it in the original Japanese.

But the game started up in English. Shock.

Your entry actually put me in a bit of a shame coz I downloaded the game, and it's just sitting there waiting to be played... I'm glad it has English though lol

I know what you mean about the game having a major impact, I love the story of the game more so than anything else as well... and that goes for both Chrono Trigger and Cross (though Trigger was the better game :p). I guess it was the first time for any time-travelling, dimensional-travelling, cause and effect sorta cra- ideas actually made sense to me, which made me appreciate the complexity even more!

I never actually played Chrono Cross, though i always wanted to. I could just never seem to get a hold of it.

I think the time travelling aspect was used to great effect for the many side quests, too.

There are a lot of people who think Chrono Trigger is the best game they've ever played. It's a classic.

Actually, so far Chrono Trigger has been fairly kind to me in terms of the Japanese, so i haven't needed the dictionary too much :P

I actually think games like are a great way to pick up more of the language though!
