I really enjoyed this story. The fact Jim had a mutation that wasn't immediately beneficial was an interesting twist. Plus, his resentment with it and his rebelliousness in learning how to control it. Having him paired with Spock was genius, not surprising that they got close because of it. Spock's "as you wish" was an adorable nod to the Princess Bride. And you couldn't have done anything better to match the picture. Bravo!

I love the idea of Jim's mutation and how Spock was able to help him. The imagery of their minds were beautiful! I like how the end is just before Jim steps out into the world. :)
