I love how you use Spock as a grounding post for Jim. Their connection is so strong that he is the only one who can help Jim's Tarsus IV memories from completely overwhelming him.

So amazing, even if their love is only subtextual instead of in your face. In fact I think it works even better because it accentuates their outstanding friendship. Wonderful <333

Thank you, bb! I was a little worried that since their relationship wasn't so blatant, it wouldn't work. I'm glad it was effective, though.

Sometimes you need your lover to just be your friend. :3

And I'm going to use this icon with you all the time now lol

Haha omg I love that icon!

And yes, see I think so many people miss that... your lover NEEDS to be your friend. I really do love this story for that. :)

There needs to be more blatant friend fics and subtextual lover fics in my opinion :)

lovely!

.... perhaps not the MOST appropriate word choice (given the harsh subject matter), but that's absolutely the impression this fic left me with so i'm sticking to it

What a beautiful little fic, it is good to see one where Jim isn't a total wreck dealing eith this type of situation, and also handling the fact that Spock knows without resorting to anger.

PS if you don't like nitpicking, then please ignore this! One can wander into the woods and see something wonderful that one can then wonder about, that's how I keep wonder and wander straight in my head.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I always see Jim as too strong to just roll over and give up.

And thanks for pointing out the typo. I do know the difference, I just must have missed it when I reread it. It's one of those typos you always overlook!
