Geez...it has been ages since I have used LJ. I don't write journals anymore, I only come here to read other people's journal. It was fun in 2005 to either 2007 or 2008 when Dreaming of Red community closed up. It didn't feel the same anymore. I spend more time at DeviantArt or DA for short than I do here. Aww. Don't feel too bad about it. I find I usually wind up using my own journal more as a personal ill-kept diary than an actual social medium. It wasn't until I started posting stories to various communities that I really got any kind of social value out of the thing at all.
And then there is the problem with our RuroKen communities all being dead or so feebly moving along that they may as well go into hibernation.
If you find yourself an active community in some other fandom though, LJ can be fun again. Sherlock is really popular right now, that's the only reason I know that!
