Of course, I just had to see Iron Man 2 on opening day. So how was it? Not bad. Could have used a little more War Machine, but hey, he's not the star of the show. Anyway, on first impression, I'd say it's about even with the first one. So if you liked that one, you should like this. See it ( Read more... )

Howard never really made much of an impression on me in the first one, whereas Cheadle actually has a pretty sizable subplot and gets more involved in the main story. Plus I just think Don Cheadle is a better actor anyway, so I'm giving him the edge in this one.

Howard wasn't "bad," and to be honest I'd rather have kept him just for the sake of continuity if nothing else, but Cheadle did a good enough job where I really didn't even think about it while I was watching. In a perfect world, Cheadle would have been cast in the first one and we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
