I do a latte-sized cup of coffee every morning, as I need the paddles. :) It's the only reason why I drink coffee - I have yet to really enjoy the taste.
I don't drink coffee (too much caffeine), but I agree with the dislike for the "more is more" attitude. My mother and I are that way about food and wine :p I'd rather have one glass of a really good wine, or a couple vodka drinks with Grey Goose, instead of a bottle of cheaper stuff just because we can have more of it.
It's also been proven that we consume by units. If we see a one serving container and are given a two serving size container - clearly marked, mind you - people tend to consume at least one third more than if we had a single serving container (with an option to have and many single servings as we choose). Plate sizes have also increased. Apparently it's totally common in antique shops for people to come up saying "I love these little salad plates, where's the rest of the set?"
Also, what you call triage theory I think of as spoon theory*. I only have so many spoons (energy or time) and I have to choose how I spend them. I see this line of thought coming up more and more often as I'm a grown up with more responsible things to do in a week.

... and I can't seem to get hold of my friend for more Johor Train Station Coffee.
One cup around 9 am is enough for me.
