Yeah the Cat was Cool, and he never said a mumbling word

I worked out of town today, in the next city over, about 30 miles from here. I was told that it was going to be a day from hell, at least in terms of the volume of work, and that turned out to be the case. But aside from that, it wasn't that difficult of a day. One thing I did notice was how everyone in that office seemed to be under a lot of ( Read more... )

I do wonder about long term pandemic effects. I hope there is no bomb waiting to explode, although it is a reasonable question. For me, returning to "normal," working in the office, etc actually sounds MORE stressful than what life has been. I would like a social life again, but I would also trade it to work remotely permanently. It is interesting how differently everyone feels about these things.

The people I had seen as stressed were working at their workplace, albeit with masks, and a lot of plexiglass. So I think you're right that this is definitely a factor.

Ken, saviour of kitties! :-) Well done!

I definitely feel more stressed since I'm working from home. I don't know if this is all pandemice wise or also a lot new boss' fault.

I think it's a combination of both. There's no good work situation any more, but I think management can make it better or worse.

I think you are right that the pandemic has created an edge that will be hard to get rid of . Shooting and other crime is through the roof here and I can't help but think much of it is snapback from all the idiocy that we have all had to deal with on a regular basis. Enjoy your conference and great shots as always! :DD

Sorry to read about gun crime being on the rise. I haven't said anything to Seth about this, but that is one fear that creeps into my mind every now and then about moving to Missouri. The state is in the second highest tier of states when it comes to gun deaths per capita. California is usually among the lowest.

I wish there were much fewer, but anywhere that the Republicans hold firm, there are many gun deaths. I was surprised by Vermont, though.

We rarely see cats outside around here, but there is one who often lounges around in the middle of the road.

There are a lot of wild animals around here, so I'm surprised to see many outdoor cats around here.

For some reason I found myself singing it in the shower the morning I wrote this.
